What is NFC?

NFC is a technology that allows fast short-range communication between two devices.

KOKOTAG has an NFC chip built into the back. If you bring a phone close, you will see the information it holds: the identification profiles.

How is the NFC chip read?

The phones we use today have an NFC reader by default.

Depending on the model, you will have to enable it

manually or it will already be enabled. It is a system that barely uses any battery.

The reader is located on the back of your phone, but depending on the brand, its position varies.

IDENTIFYING PROFILES

When someone reads the KOKOTAG, they will reach the identification profile the owner has created.

In the profile you can carry:

· Your pets' documentation.

· Emergency phone number.

· Important details about your pet.

· Owner's data.

· Their vaccines. Get reminders about upcoming ones.

· Health information about the pet.

· Important documents (such as ID or health card).

2nd Open the Find My app and follow the steps you will see below.

1. Go to item and "add item"

2. Press the button on the KOKOTAG® until you hear the sound. When it appears, click 'connect'

3. Add a name and an emoji

AND DONE!

What happens if I remove the object from Find My and can't link it again?

You may delete your KOKOTAG from the app and not be able to link it again.

Don't worry.

You just have to press the KOKOTAG button 5 times and hold it down on the last one (the fifth) until you hear the sound.

Once the sound plays, you can search for it with the Find My app and link it again.

What happens if I delete the
item from Find My Device and
cannot link it again?

You may delete your KOKOTAG from the app and not be able to link it again.

Don't worry.

To reset it, remove the cover and you will see a button: make 4 quick presses in under 3 seconds, and one long press until you hear a sound.

This device has a CR2032 battery. To replace it, rotate the cover in the opposite direction of the clock's hands.

Replace the battery with the same type: CR2032, with the flat side up.

Place the cover and rotate it in the direction of the clock's hands to close it.

2. Button

KOKOTAG has a physical button used to turn the device on or off.

It also turns on the Bluetooth search so you can link it with your phone.

One long press, until you hear a long sound to turn it on and be able to link it.

Another press, until you hear a short sound to turn off the device search.

3. Link

To link the KOKOTAG you will need an iPhone, since it works through the Apple networks.

You will need to go to the Find My app and follow the steps indicated inLink to Find

4. Delete and link again

If you want to link your KOKOTAG to another phone, you must first delete it from the app. To do so, in Find My, select the item you are going to delete and scroll to the very bottom of the options.

Once removed, restart the linking process.

If, when trying to link the device after deleting it, the iPhone cannot find it:

Press the button 5 times and hold it down on the 5th until you hear the sound.

By doing this, it will appear in the app, and you can link it again.

5. Find My app

Find My offers several functions and possibilities that we will explain below:

Play sound.

By pressing this button you can make the KOKOTAG play a sound so you can find it, if you are nearby and cannot see it.

Route

Create a route to the KOKOTAG directly from the app.

Share object

Send the object's location to someone else if you need someone else to keep track of it.

Notifications

Turn on notifications so it warns you whenever you move away from the KOKOTAG (or it moves away from you).

Lost mode

If you've lost the object, activate lost mode for the following:

Rename and delete

Change the name and icon of the device anytime.

Remove the device from your app to link it to another iPhone.

Please download the official Google Find My Device app from the Google Play Store:

Open the Google Play Store on your Android device.
Search for “Find My Device“.
Check that the developer is Google LLC.
Tap “Install“ to complete the process.

Important notes:

System requirements: Requires Android 9 or higher, and the device must be signed in to a Google account.
Permission settings: Make sure the “Location services" and "Device administrator" permissions are enabled.
Security warning: Avoid downloading APK files from unknown sources to prevent malware risks.

Requirements: Android 9 or higher with the latest software. Replaceable battery included (CR2032).

Features vary depending on the Android device and the region. Ultra Wideband is not available in all regions.

Google's "Find My Device" feature helps you locate your belongings quickly and securely, even when your devices are offline or far away.

From misplaced car keys to the tablet hidden under the sofa cushions, it is now easier than ever to keep track of your things.

Also, all your location information stays private, even from Google.

To link the KOKOTAG you will need an Android device, since it works through the Google Find My Device networks.

Linking it is very simple. You must pull out the plastic piece that protects the battery.

It will turn on automatically, playing a sound, and in a few seconds it will appear on your Android phone, as you can see below. Tap the connect button and follow the steps.You can see the steps by clicking here.

4. Remove and relink

If you want to link your KOKOTAG to another phone, you must first delete it from the app. To do so, tap the gear icon and at the end “remove from Find My Device” will appear.

If, when trying to link the device after deleting it, your Android phone cannot find it:

Make 4 quick presses in under 3 seconds, and one long press until you hear a sound.

Doing it this way, it will appear and you will be able to link it again.

5. Find My Device app

Find My Device offers several features and options that we will explain below:

PLAY SOUND.

By pressing this button you can make the KOKOTAG® play a sound so you can find it, if you are nearby and cannot see it

ROUTE TO THE DEVICE

It will create a route to the KOKOTAG® directly from Google Maps.

SHARE ITEM

Send the object's location to someone else if you need someone else to keep track of it.

MARK AS LOST

If you've lost the object, activate lost mode for the following:

Once you fill in the details, you will be notified when the KOKOTAG® comes into range of a network.

RENAME

Change the name and category of the device whenever you want.

DELETE

Delete the device if you want to pair it with another Android smartphone.

1. PERSONALISE YOUR PROFILE

Here you will see all the active profiles you have.

To personalize it, click on the one you want.

Upon entering, you will find the personalization menu. It's very easy to use. You'll have it done in a couple of minutes!

2. CHANGE YOUR PLAN

If you tap the “Options” icon this menu will open.

Go to Manage Plan

It will take you to your Stripe account, the payment management platform we use. We use Stripe because it is a very secure platform, your data is safe.

From here, you can change the payment methods, cancel the Plan, or change the billing information.

3. SECURITY OPTIONS

Go to security and data to change your password or enable two-step authentication

4. LINKED KOKOS

If you go to Linked Kokos, you will be able to see all devices associated with your account, edit their names, delete them if you won't use them again...

5. LANGUAGES

You can change the language by going to Languages. This changes the language of KOKOSUITE, not that of the person who reads the KOKOTAG and views the profile.

Whoever reads the profile will see it in the language set by default on their phone.
